Liseuse language-learning app · last updated 5 September 2026
Liseuse is a language-learning app. This policy explains what it collects, why, who it is shared with, and how to delete it. It covers the Android app and the web app at liseuse.info.
What we collect
| Data | Why |
|---|---|
| Email address and password | To create and sign in to your account. Passwords are stored only as a salted hash (argon2id) and are never readable by us. |
| Your learning activity — lessons generated, answers, scores, saved vocabulary, review schedule, streaks and daily goals | To show your progress, schedule reviews, and adapt future lessons to your level. |
| Voice recordings, while you are using a speaking, dictation or live-tutor feature | To transcribe what you said, score pronunciation, and let the tutor respond. Recording happens only during those activities, never in the background. |
| Text you write in writing exercises and tutor conversations | To grade the exercise and generate feedback. |
| Basic error diagnostics (a message, the endpoint that failed, app version, platform) | To find and fix bugs. These records are not used to build a profile of you. |
Liseuse does not collect your location, contacts, photos, or advertising identifiers. It contains no advertising and no third-party analytics or tracking SDKs.
Who your data is shared with
Content generation, grading and the voice tutor are powered by third-party AI providers. When you use those features, the relevant text or audio is sent to them so they can return a result:
- Anthropic — lesson generation, writing feedback, and tutor replies (text).
- OpenAI — speech-to-text, text-to-speech, and the live voice tutor (audio and text).
- Microsoft Azure Speech — pronunciation scoring, where enabled (audio).
- Google — only if you choose "Sign in with Google", and only to verify your identity token. We do not call any other Google service on your behalf.
These providers process the data to deliver the feature and under their own terms. Liseuse does not sell your data, and does not share it with anyone else.
Where it is stored
Account and learning data are stored on servers rented by the developer in Europe, in databases that are not publicly reachable. Traffic between your device and the service uses HTTPS.
Deleting your data
Deleting your account is permanent. It removes your account, your learning history, saved vocabulary, review schedules and conversation records, and cancels any subscription first. It cannot be undone.
To request deletion, email the address below from the address you signed up with, and it will be carried out.
Children
Liseuse is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
Changes
If this policy changes materially, the date at the top will change and the new version will appear at this address.
